Dramatic drone footage has been released
appearing to show the clean-up operation at Tianjin, China, where two
explosions ripped through a chemicals storage facility in August, killing more
than 160 people.
Twelve people have been arrested over the
blasts, which left a trail of mangled buildings and burnt out cars in their
wake, including owners of Rui Hai International Logistics who were shown on
state television being held by police and "confessing" to using
government connections to obtain safety permits.
The blast was triggered by the ignition of
thousands of tones of hazardous chemicals stored at the facility, including
approximately 700 tones of highly poisonous sodium cyanide.
The warehouse was built within 600 meters
of some residential buildings, despite a regulation mandating any hazardous
material storage facilities must be at least a kilometer away.
Industrial accidents are common in China , with
corruption thought to be a key factor behind lax enforcement of safety
regulations.
Less than two weeks after the Tianjin explosions, an explosion at a chemical plant in
east China 's Shandong province killed
one person and injured nine.

A giant fireball happened in China in this year. When i saw the news, i was thinking which movie was taking a scene there. After reading the context, i was shocked by the incident. It just exploded like a great tuns of TNT. In addition, it polluted the whole area with chemical objects. It must take a lot of time to recover people's fear and the enviorement.
回覆刪除When I heard this big news at once, i prayed for everything will be OK. In addition, i hope nobody got hurt in this incident. Tianjin is a very important place in China, and this event will truly influence the economy in China! So, i also worry the economy around the world, too. But the most important thing is everything will be OK!
回覆刪除News about explosion of factories is not hard to find on newspapers, and it is always the most dreadful one. Having so many chemicals subject to ignite stored in a factory is really really a dangerous and hazardous scene to even imagine. Just cross our fingers that all will restore and get better.
